In this project, I aimed to provide new and captivating perspectives on familiar surroundings for both locals and visitors.
With the guidance of a photojournalist, I explored my hometown and its surrounding area in iterative circles, focusing on the inhospitable and obscure environment at night.
Despite its scarifying nature, I discovered that the small village held an inherent beauty, with trees playing with light and shadow, and the natural world coming alive in the darkness.
I used different long exposure times and setups to capture the motion and color of the environment during storms and rain showers, scouting for the perfect shot day and night.
The final series of images was printed on 800x600 chemically sensitive paper, showcasing the hidden beauty of my familiar surroundings in a new and exciting way.
